my life in kuwait

Friday, October 06, 2006

well, i've been in kuwait for almost two months now so i figure it's about time i get my act together and have a place for everyone to see my photos. here are some of the neighborhood i live in. i took these all from the roof of my apartment building. my building is eight stories high, and i live on the second floor. so i don't have the best view from my window but from the roof, on a clear day you can see the gulf.

kuwait's own big dig! just kidding... although there is a good amount of construction happening around the high ways. the white building behind the road is a mosque.

this is one of the land marks we give to food delivery guys to help them find the building... i'm not quite sure what viewpoint is or was, but i thought it was kind of a cool looking sign.

the "green" mosque. this is a really beautiful mosque that is right by the school and my building. it lights up at night with strings of lights going from the spires to the dome. it's very cool looking, i'll try to get a picture of it. this is also the mosque that i can (sometimes) hear the call to worships from.

the dirt lot/car graveyard that i cut through on the way to work. it's essentially a big sand/dirt public parking lot. they also tow some busted up cars there because it's across from the police station. Posted by Picasa
