Bahla Fort

we drove out of nizwa for the day to go see the for in bahla. it is in the process of being fixed up as a UNESCO world heritage site and it is not exactly open to the public. they do, however, have a nice big parking lot that's all finished so when we got to the fort we just pulled in, parked and wandered around the outside of the fort. the fort is situated right next to the old town, which interestingly enough some people still live in. so amongst the ruins of the old town and the world heritage site their were window air conditioning units and satellite dishes.
